Jason Tan Seng Hwee– President & CEO

Jason Tan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Australia and he is currently pursuing his doctorate.  He has completed professional coach training from the Coach University, USA and he is a certified Life Options Retirement Coach. Jason is a Professional Member of the Asian Association of Career Management Professionals (AACMP), a Professional Member of the Association of Career Professionals International (ACP International), a Member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Member of the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and a Regular Member of International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA), USA.  Currently, Jason sits on the SIM’s interview panel for RMIT’s degree program where he scrutinizes final year projects for market viability.  He also lectures part-time at the Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM).  Jason also sits on the Teen Challenge Business Advisory Board.  Teen Challenge, a voluntary welfare organization, is a halfway house to help teen, youth and adult offenders and drug addicts.  

Jason Tan’s distinguished career can be summarised as having 30 years of broad-based senior management experience in outplacement consultancy, executive coaching, general management, business development, business operations, field operations, strategic alliances/partners management, administration, human resource, training management, executive search, sales & marketing, B2B eCommerce,  IT  & Internet professional services management as well as regional  exposure in the Asia-Pacific region.  His multi-cultural exposure included working with locals, Asians and western expatriates on projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, Europe and USA.

Jenny Teng– Vice President & Senior Consultant

Prior to joining CACMCI, Jenny held senior positions at two of the world’s largest software companies namely Oracle Corporation and Microsoft in Singapore. She started her career in the IT industry in early ‘80s as an individual contributor before assuming senior management roles since 1990.

After many successful years as Senior Sales Director in Oracle, she was selected in 2000 where she pioneered and established Oracle’s Asia Pacific new and strategic business unit, Oracle Direct Asia Pacific. She also successfully set up the Oracle Direct North Asia Centre located in Singapore, supporting seven countries across Asia and Greater China (China, Taiwan and Hong Kong).

It was a challenge to set up and manage a business centre with diversified culture and skill sets (inbound/outbound telesales, sales, presales, admin and management). Strong motivation and effective communication skill (including Mandarin and Cantonese) were among some of the critical success factors.

She maintains a strong track record of achievement in customer and partner relationships, extensive sales, marketing and management experience.

As the Enterprise Partner Director in Microsoft, the world’s largest software company, she was responsible for strengthening Microsoft’s position as a strategic technology provider in the competitive enterprise marketplace. Her role include reviewing and designing the team’s organizational structure, identify talents and chart career development plans, coaching/mentoring and enterprise sales training as well as designing partner management programs.

Her ability to motivate, guide, coach and lead was a result of her immense passion and commitment to her responsibilities. Jenny was Vice President of CACMCI in Hong Kong and subsequently in Singapore. She has coached many senior outplacement candidates and she is able to help senior level candidates from Directors onwards to Global Vice Presidents.

Jenny has a Master of Business Administration, University of South Australia, Diploma in Management Studies (Singapore Institute of Management) and Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management, Institute of Marketing UK.

Chew Soon Lee– Vice president & Senior Consultant

Soon Lee has been a senior human resource practitioner for the past thirty years with several large multinational and local companies including General Electric (USA) Consumer Electronics, Molex, CTS Singapore, SAFE Enterprises, Tri-M Technologies, Delco Electronics Asia Pacific, Cabletron Systems, and Maxtor Peripherals.

During this time, Soon Lee as the Regional HR Director was responsible for the whole spectrum of human resources management of which seven of these are in the regional (Asia Pacific) capacities and three in delivering human resources consultancy services. Soon Lee also has three and a half years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

During Soon Lee’s 3 years of Human Resource Consultancy, his major focus was on outplacement. Soon Lee has delivered more than 21 outplacement workshops, several of which were in Mandarin. He has trained more than three hundred participants and delivered numerous individual outplacement coaching sessions which are usually at the senior management levels of Director and above. Soon Lee has additional experience as an executive coach.

Soon Lee has evaluated, selected and implemented strategic human resource management systems including recruitment, manpower development and training, and reward management.

Soon Lee is certified to conduct training programs, including DDi’s Interaction Management, Kepner Tregoe’s Problem-Solving & Decision-Making and Wilson Learning’s Social Styles.

He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Singapore as well as a Diploma in Personnel Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

Karen Ong– Assistant Vice President & Senior Consultant

Karen has more than 13 years of professional human resource management experience with both foreign and local MNCs before venturing into the consulting field a few years ago. As an outplacement consultant, she has essentially played the role of a career consultant and facilitates and assists candidates in their career transition and job search efforts.

Karen has worked in the public sector as well as the private sector in the manufacturing, healthcare, high technology and retail industries. As a HR specialist, she was instrumental to the success of several massive recruitment exercises both locally and overseas. She had also participated in career fairs, career talks, open houses and overseas recruitment trips in China, Philippines and Malaysia. As a HR consultant, she was responsible for providing all aspects of HR support to the assigned business units in the organizations that she had worked for.

Her work exposure in a global environment with internal staff, customers and vendors with varied working styles has given her the opportunity to better understand and adapt flexibly to different cultures, management styles and work expectations.

In her consulting role, she has worked with large organizations and companies like British American Tobacco (S) Pte Ltd, Maxtor Peripherals (S) Pte Ltd, Tellabs Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, SPH Mediaworks, Institute of Technical Education, DHL Express (S) Pte Ltd, etc. She has also worked with numerous individuals and groups on career and career transition issues. This ranges from Executives, Managers, Senior Managers, Director, VP and President level.

Karen holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.  She has also completed professional coach training from the Coach University, USA.

Lorraine Lim– Assistant Vice President & Senior Consultant

Lorraine Lim has more than 12 years experience in the banking, education and human resource industry. She started her career in Consumer Banking where she became a branch manager responsible for the profitability of a branch. Her scope of work included sales forecast and management, strategies and business planning, team management as well as growing the branch portfolio. Her banking experience also includes conducting training for the Bank’s staff in banking products and soft-skills, such as effective communication and customer service.

Her interest in training and education led her to join several educational institutes holding education specialist and lecturing positions, and handling courses such as business management, effective communication and customer service, among several other areas of expertise. With strong entrepreneurship spirit running within, she has experience in running her own business and was also an Executive Search Consultant. She has also coached executives in Outplacement, Executive Coaching and Career Coaching from various industries. This ranges from Executives, Managers, Senior Managers, Director, VPs all the way to Chairman level.

She brings with her the vast experience and network that includes clients from large corporations such as Societe General Private Banking, Unilever, Mcquarie Securities, Tellabs Asia, DHL, British Council, Maxtor and Cendent Vacation Networks to small medium enterprises and high net-worth individuals.
